
OFFICIAL RULES OF THE "HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC SCHOOL MEGA RAFFLE"
The Holy Cross Catholic School Mega Raffle commences May 15, 2026. The raffle will be on July 25, 2026, in the evening after the 4 pm Mass. The raffle will be conducted under Kansas Raffle License RAF000290 issued to Holy Cross Catholic Church and will benefit the Holy Cross Catholic School.
Holy Cross Catholic Church is a not-for-profit corporation which is exempt from federal taxation under 5501 of the Internal Revenue Code.

By purchasing a raffle ticket, each entrant agrees to be unconditionally bound by these rules.
Entry: The cost of each raffle ticket is $75. Raffle tickets may only be purchased in person at: Holy Cross Catholic School, Holy Cross Parish, or participating Holy Cross Catholic school Parents and Volunteers;
Tickets can be paid for using cash or checks payable to "Holy Cross Catholic School" with Mega Raffle written in the memo. Only one method of payment is accepted with each ticket.
Purchasing a Holy Cross Catholic School Mega Raffle ticket, gives the purchaser and a guest the right to attend a Private Event at Holy Cross Church (8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS) on July 25, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (a private BBQ).
A maximum of 1,200 tickets will be sold. Each ticket will be separately numbered in serial form. Payment must accompany purchased ticket and may be paid for at the time of purchase. An email confirmation will be sent out verifying the ticket purchase. Any payment received after the first 1,200 tickets have been sold and registered in the database will be returned. All sales shall be final, and no refund will be made, except at the sole discretion of the Raffle Coordinator.
The Raffle Coordinator shall maintain a registry of the name, email address and telephone number of the purchaser of each ticket sold. Raffle prizes will be issued only to the registered purchaser of a winning raffle ticket. The Raffle Coordinator shall reserve the right to disqualify entries deemed invalid by reason of improper or insufficient payment, material misrepresentation of fact by the purchaser or any other rule violation or material defect which renders the awarding of the prize improper, illegal or practically unfeasible.
Neither Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross Catholic School or the Raffle Coordinator will be liable for any alleged losses arising from defective printing, lost or misdirected proceeds of sale or any other failure of performance, beyond the refund of the sale price of a ticket or tickets, as determined in the sole discretion of Holy Cross Catholic Church or the Raffle Coordinator. In the event an entrant is refunded the purchase price for one or more tickets, such tickets may be resold and prizes awarded free and clear of any claim from the entrant receiving the refund.
Notification: All winning entries will be deemed the winner of the prize for that particular drawing and will be notified by phone, email or mail based on the information provided by the entrant. If a winning entrant cannot be located or fails to respond to good faith attempts to contact the winning entrant by 4:30 p.m. thirty (30) business days after the drawing, the raffle prize will be deemed forfeited and awarded to the Alternate Winner, whose ticket will also will be drawn at the time of the raffle drawing on July 25, 2026.
By accepting a prize, each entrant shall be deemed to grant their permission for the use of their name and likeness for advertising and promotion of future Mega Raffles without further compensation.
Prizes will be paid by check and may be claimed at the Holy Cross Parish Office (8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS.
Prizes:
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will receive $15,000;
2nd Place Drawing: The winner of the 2nd Place Drawing will receive $5,000.
Top Ticket Seller: The person selling the most tickets will win $1,000. In the event of a tie, the $1,000 will be evenly split between the top ticket sellers.
Disclaimer: If HCCS does not sell 1,200 tickets by 5:00 pm CDT on Saturday, July 25, 2026, Holy Cross reserves the right to withdraw initial prizes and the raffle will become a "80% / 20%" raffle (80% to Holy Cross Catholic School and 20% for cash prizes). All cash prizes will be reduced pro-rata, including the sales incentive prize.
Taxes: Each winning entrant shall be solely responsible for payment of federal, state and local taxes resulting from the receipt of any prize and will be issued a W-2G for their winnings less the price spent to purchase raffle tickets.
Proceeds: The net proceeds of the Mega Raffle will benefit Holy Cross Catholic School and shall be used solely for its operations.
General Conditions: The Mega Raffle is subject to these rules and no other written or oral representations shall alter or affect the validity and applicability of these rules, unless required by law. By accepting a prize, the entrant releases Holy Cross Catholic Church (HCCC), Holy Cross Catholic School (HCCS), the Raffle Coordinator, and any person materially participating in the conduct of this raffle from any claim or liability arising from the conduct of this raffle and in no event shall any entrant claim damages in excess of the purchase price of their ticket or tickets.
HCCC, HCCS, and the Raffle Coordinator reserve the right to disqualify any entrant found to be in violation of these rules. Any dispute regarding these rules or the conduct of the Mega Raffle will be governed by the laws of the State of Kansas and the venue for any proceeding to enforce, interpret or vacate these rules, or to impose any claim of liability against the above-named entities and individuals arising from the conduct of the raffle, shall be done through the Johnson County District Court of Johnson County, Kansas.
Privacy: All personal information collected by the organizers and managers of this raffle will be used for the administration of the raffle only and such information will not be shared or otherwise distributed except as necessary to conduct the raffle.
A copy of these Official Rules will be emailed to each raffle ticket purchaser.
The Winners List: A list of all prize winners will be posted at on the Holy Cross Catholic School website within 10 days of the drawing (August 4, 2026).
